Anna Thorley

Hello, I’m Anna. I live in Edinburgh with my boyfriend, Sam, and the occasional mouse. I love candles, rabbits, heights, secret passageways, freshly squeezed orange juice, and long walks in the mountains. Most of all, though, I love to write and edit things – especially anything to do with veganism.

Growing up, I remember it was always the meat that I pushed to the side of my plate – not the vegetables. I’d happily trade my slice of turkey for extra Brussels sprouts at Christmas (a deal that my brother also enjoyed). I’ve been vegan for about two and a half years and was vegetarian for four years before that.

When there’s not a pen in my hand or a book in sight, you might find me either hanging off a rock at a climbing centre or running up Arthur’s Seat. I keep myself updated on animal welfare issues, and I also know a bit about environmental campaigning, artistic gymnastics, and how to spruce up a room using recycled odds and ends.
