Exclusive Interview with Dr. Neal Barnard, Founder & President of PCRM

Sivan Pardo Renwick, the founder & director of The Vegan Woman, interviews one of the leading figures in the promotion of veganism today: Dr. Neal Barnard MD, president of The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.

Dr. Neal Barnard is one of the most influential leaders of a new medical paradigm that seeks to integrate preventative health care and plant-based nutrition into our lives; as well as tackle the root of illness rather than managing its symptoms.

Alongside pioneering MDs such as Dr. Michael Klapper, Dr. T. Colin Campbell, Dr. Dean Ornish, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, and other health and nutrition leaders and researchers, Dr. Barnard has been publicly speaking about the connection between the consumption of animal protein and illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, cancer, and other acute medical conditions.

As a huge admirer of his work – It was his lecture on addictive foods that opened my eyes to what dairy really is, and subsequently helped me move towards veganism – I had the tremendous honor to meet him in person and interview him on-board the 2014 Vegan Cruise of Holistic Holiday at Sea

Below – the exclusive interview with Dr. Neal Barnard:

Dr. Barnard has written more than 15 books on different topics of health and nutrition. As the president of The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, which he founded in 1985, he has been doing extraordinary work in leading the battle to stop animal cruelty in laboratories and finding better ways of conducting medical research, as well as teaching other doctors and nutritionists worldwide about the power of a plant-based diet to prevent and reverse disease.
